HSBC International Primary School of the year 2013-2014

The schools mission statement ‘To prepare our children to go into the world and make it a better place’ sets out to combine academic achievement and positive global citizenship.

We use eTwinning as platform to collaborate with schools across Europe on projects linked directly to the curriculum, these projects have lasted for as little as one lesson, to a three year project. We have received a Quality label for co-ordinating the following projects this year:

World Smile Day – which involved 17 different countries across Europe.

Christmas Card Exchange Project – which involved 100 schools across Europe.

Celebrating Christmas – Year 2 worked with a School in Greece to find out about their traditions and how they celebrate Christmas.

Friends around Europe – Year 2 have worked with a School to find out more about their culture.

We have also taken part in another whole school project called World Thinking Day. The theme for World Thinking Day this year was planting. So many schools around Europe have planted seeds to help the environment.
